Proposed Activities

THE GALLERY

A space for the purpose of sharing creations. This will be open to any artist wishing to express their ideas of Israel, conflict, coexistence, etc. The observation space will be open to anyone.

Activities will include:
Presentation, discussion, walking, standing, observation.




THE CAFE AND INTERNET

The cafe will be a special opportunity for locals to enter the building without the intention of participation in building activities. This introduces the building and activities to potential participants. The cafe will also provide a space for visitors or employees to discuss ideas in an informal setting. An internet center will be available here, this contains several computers for public use and a wireless internet connection for visitors with a laptop. The cafe will be open to anyone.

Activities will include:
Discussion, conversation, sitting, relaxing, drinking, eating, commerce.




THE SHOP

The shop is a space for artists from the Gallery, and other local artists to sell their work. The shop will also sell work by local authors or other literature related to the ideas of the artwork. This will coexist in the same environment as the cafe. The shop will be open to anyone.

Activities will include:
Discussion, observation, commerce, reading, learning, walking, standing.




CREATION AND LEARNING

The space for Creation and Learning will be available for children of the local communities. It will be a setting for children to learn and share ideas related to the idea of neighbouring through the arts. This will include a classroom for the purpose of creation, painting, sculpture, etc. Classes open to all children of the area will be taught here, providing children with a foundational knowledge in which to express themselves and connect with children from other neighbourhoods. There will also be a drama section where students will be able to participate in dramatic productions following the same ideas.

Activities will include:
Discussion, creation, making, learning, presentation, walking, sitting, acting, expression.




THE GARDEN

The café will open to a garden space within the composition of the building creating an open space for members of the community to pass through, or for visitors of the building to utilize. This will be a space for sharing ideas and spending time with friends.
